Give a payment request clear context

A payment link or QR code works best when it says what is being paid for and for how much.

A payment request should make sense to both sides. The person paying should know what it is for, and you should be able to match the payment to the sale.

State the amount and what it covers

Include the amount, a short description and a reference you will recognise later.

Make the sale easy to check

Keep the payment reference with the sale record so the next question, from the customer or your accounts, has an answer.

Share requests privately

Send a payment link directly to the customer rather than posting it publicly.

Common questions

Can a customer pay by QR code?
Yes. A QR code opens the same payment journey as a link, so give it the same context.
